What is LVL?
Our LVL Lash Lift is a cutting-edge eyelash treatment that lifts your natural lash at the root, giving you the appearance of longer, lifted lashes. It’s the ideal treatment for those with a low-maintenance beauty regimen, a busy lifestyle, allergies and hay fever, or simply those who want to make the most of their natural eyelashes, with instant results lasting between 6 and 8 weeks!
How does the LVL Lash Lift work?
The structure of a single hair is made up of three parts: the hair cuticle, the cortex and the medulla. The hydrogen in the lifting balm oxidises when it comes into contact with the air during the LVL procedure. This causes a chemical reaction that breaks down each hair’s disulphate bonds, allowing it to shift into a new form. The volumizing fix is then applied, which reforms the disulphate bonds into a new shape that is long and lifted with maximum volume!
The disulphate bonds in the eyelashes will take up to 48 hours to lock into place and cure, which is why it is important to follow the proper aftercare for 48 hours after treatment. When the lashes become hot or wet, they revert to their normal alpha-keratin state(natural), and the lift is lost.
24 HOURS BEFORE TREATMENT
Do not wear any water-proof mascara
If you have had a spray tan, ensure guide colour (bronzer) is washed off
ON THE DAY
Do not wear any mascara
Do not have a spray tan
Avoid applying oily products on your lashes or around the eyes
Contact lenses must be removed prior to the treatment, for this reason we recommend glasses are worn
AFTERCARE
For the first 24 hours after your treatment it’s important not to allow water to come in to contact with your lashes
For 2 days afterwards do not steam your face, use a steam bath, swim or wash your face with hot water
Do not use waterproof mascara
Use oil free make-up remover if mascara is worn (only use a water-based mascara)
Don’t rub your eyes when washing your face – always pat the lashes dry after cleansing
Ensure lashes are not manipulated into different positions (e.g. when sleeping, cleansing the face, applying moisturiser or cosmetics)
